Today, Wednesday I had my lady eggs examined. After the appointment I came home and poured myself some cereal. My birth control subscription is up and I forgot to tell my doctor to refill it, and my dad asked me about it. We started talking about different birth control options and discussing my options. Awkward, I know...After that brief conversation my dad went down the hall and I ate my cereal. A couple minutes later dad came back down the hall and stood next to me. He then said, "If you are sexually active you need to be using other protection than birth control..."
"Oh I know dad, I learned that in school." I was beat red.
He laughed awkwardly and then said, "Cause there are lots worse things out there other than being pregnant." I snorted out a laugh then said, "Okay, so you can go now..."
I am 19 years old. A little late for a sex pep talk dad, nice try though.
Haha. Too Awkward. But I guess as a dad of 3 grown girls, he has to talk about this stuff sometime. Just too bad it had to happen when we are old enough to make fun of him for it!
